Newspaper article, E.R. Nash, Louise Higginbotham Wedding

Dublin, Texas November 27, 1906

The most brilliant social event of this season in Dublin was the marriage on last Wednesday evening at 9 o’clock of Miss Louise Harris Higginbotham of this city to Mr. Elihu Reuel Nash Jr. of Waco. The ceremony that united this popular young couple was pronounced by Rev. G. W. Smith of De Leon, assisted by Rev. E .J. Compere at the elegantly appointed home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus W. Higginbotham and witnessed by a large concourse of friends and relatives who completely filled the spacious parlors and halls of the Higginbotham home. After the ceremony, which was pronounced in an especially impressive and beautiful manner, the bride and groom and the bridal party, including the parents of the contracting couple, were showered with congratulations upon the happy event, after which light refreshments were served and at 12:25 the bride and groom left on the north bound Frisco en route via Ft. Worth for a trip of some two weeks to Cuba, the bridal party accompanying them as far as Ft. Worth. A more extended notice of this consummation of the loves of these two young people will be given in the Progress of next week.
