Horace Aurelius died in 1926. Alice died in 1928. Their daughter Hattie Smith had previously married Rufus Higginbotham. Both Horace and Alice are buried in Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas in the Higginbotham plot off the street just behind the Higginbotham family monument.
E. R. Nash, Jr. was born in Brazos County, Texas in 1883. Some family trees show him as being born in Hearne, but at this point, we have no record of the family ever residing in Robertson County. Siblings before and after him were born in Brazos County. He married Louise Higginbotham in 1906 in Dublin, Texas. For E. R. Nash, census records show:
- 1900 – Waco, Texas. Age listed as 17. Living at 702 N. 16th Street.

She married Dudley Carter in 1966 and moved to Alabama, per Louise Mosley Smith. Dudley died in 1967. She moved to Oklahoma where Bobby resided and lived there until her death in 1967.
Morrow Avenue houses. 1625 Morrow was built in 1911 per the appraisal district. Louise Mosley Smith wrote that 1615 was built by Horace A. and Alice Smith. It was probably a few years older than 1625, since H. A. Smith and Alice were already living there in 1910. The residence next door at 1605 (not owned by anyone in the Nash family) was built in 1906.
Horace and Alice each lived at 1615 until they died, he in 1926, she in 1928. Baker and Frances Higginbotham Duncan were living at 1615 in 1930. In 1940 a family named Porter lived at 1615 per the census. This family of Porters are not related to the Nash family, as far as we know. The house may have been rented to them. After returning from WW II and their marriage in 1945, Rufus and Virginia lived at 1615. They were living there when the 1950 census was taken. When their own house was completed, Alice Louise had returned to Waco and moved into 1615 after Rufus and Virginia moved. Alice Louise lived at 1615 until she moved to Alabama in 1966, per Louise Mosley Smith.
1625 Morrow Avenue is still standing. 1615 Morrow Avenue burned after Alice Louise vacated it. The lot was cleared many years ago.
